Travel photography of Ecuador. Ecuador is a small Andean country in South America yet is one of the most diverse countries in the world. Ecuador's cloud-forests are home to 4% of the world's bird-species and hundreds of orchid varieties. It covers part of the Amazon rain-forest, the arid Galapagos island where Charles Darwin theorized about evolution, tropical beaches and snow-capped volcanoes. The sprawling capital of Quito, coastal metropolis of Guayaquil and Cuenca showcase architecture from the Spanish colonial times.
